DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport

Check-in was completed, professionally and with a smile, by Javonnie. She made sure I was checked in and had a complimentary snack pack. Her Front Desk staff was friendly and very informative of local stores and attractions. Also, Reneisha added my Rewards to my room (starts the day you add the number, so add at check-in). Sharon, Sabina, Hamal, and Latoya were all instrumental in making my stay comfortable for my business situation. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, the Housekeeping staff maintain a high standard of cleanliness and they provide anything a visitor may need. Stores are a short distance away, and parking is $50 a day on-site. Street parking is in a neighborhood, and can be risky, as overnight may result in a boot on your car. Otherwise, the hotel is recommended.

We were going on our honeymoon and were flying from JFK Monday November 10. We are from Western MA and did not want to stress getting to the airport, let alone trying to figure out parking, so we found this doubletree that offers parking and pretty cheap nightly rates. Our flight was 0800, and then with the shutdown situation, we were very glad to have booked a room months in advance. On the day of check in we arrived Sunday November 9, to a very full lobby, stemming from all of the canceled flights form the shutdown, i was a Hilton rewards member and had a pretty seemless check in, even with all of the craziness in the lobby. I was able to check in, and valet the car pretty easily. The staff was great, very kind, and gave us cookies. We were able to leave the car the entire week, and the valet attendant was very easy to work with and i trusted them to leave my car. There were absolutely no issues when we returned in getting our var back. We requested pickup Once we got on the airport shuttle and it was ready out front when we pulled up to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and fit the bill for what we needed. The 24 hour shuttle was awesome, and was shuttling to the airport every 30 mintues. It was so easy to use. And upon returning to JFK on our return trip, we just called the hotel and the shuttle came to the pickup area about 10 mintues later. Overall our stay at the Doubletree was awesome, and made our honeymoon trip much more stress free and was worth every penny. I would highly recommend if you are flyng out of JFK to save yourself the trouble, stay the night, and have a stress free shuttle ride to the terminal

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton JFK for one night since I had an early flight out of JFK the next day, and it was a great experience from start to finish. Customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly, professional, and very accommodating. I really appreciated the FREE airport shuttle service, which made pickup and drop-off to JFK quick and stress-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want for an airport stay. As Hilton Diamond members, we had breakfast included, and the service there was great as well. The food was fresh, and the staff was attentive. And the best part, the warm, welcoming chocolate chip cookie at check-in. Such a small touch, but it really sets the tone and makes you feel instantly welcomed. Overall, this hotel is very convenient, well-run, and perfect for anyone flying in or out of JFK. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Nearly perfect! Stayed here the night before flying home out of JFK. Eleventh floor was quiet. All spaces were clean and up-to-date. Nice little restaurant for evening meal and a drink. Skipped breakfast. Only issue I had was all four pillows were huge and stiff. My neck needs a flat option. Macys parade seat cushion filled in.

I’ll start with saying I will be back! I initially called to make sure my reservation was registered in the system (we all know how it is booking through a third-party system) and Maria answered the phone very rudely, gave me incorrect information and placed me on hold for over 20 mins. I called backed and spoke to Latoya who easily found my reservation, was informative and so polite. Truly a professional sweetheart. When I checked-in Ahmal the most patient and kind staff member I’ve met yet, got me all set in about 3 min. Amazing! The room was clean, modern and comfy. I had an amazing stay honestly. Maria almost ruined it but her amazing co-workers made my experience so smooth and pleasant, like I said I will be returning. Thank you guys!

Amazing stay. I accidentally left my work tablet in the room and the staff was able to retrieve it for me. I want to give a special thanks to Jovanni! She was amazing in helping coordinate things with me in order to get it back. She was very polite and even called back to check and make sure I retrieved my item. Great customer service honestly. The shuttle drive was also amazing. Breakfast was nice too.

Excellent service, pickup and drop off at JFK Airport Excellent. Hot fresh breakfast, great customer service, clean, and large variety to choose from. Check in staff courteous and knowledgeable. Would stay again in the future. Thank you, George.

UPDATE: George the general manager and Latoya the site manager gave me a call today to rectify the issue. They were prompt and polite. Thank you for taking care of this and restoring my confidence in the Hilton brand. ______________________________________________________ I am disappointed to say this Hilton did not meet the customer service standards I have consistently experienced at other Hilton properties. As a Hilton Gold Honors member, I have generally found staff to be professional, courteous, and solutions-oriented. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. After speaking directly with Sabena, I was explicitly assured that our stay would be refunded as a one-time courtesy. Based on that representation, I reasonably expected the refund to be processed. When no refund appeared, I contacted my travel agent, who then reached out to the hotel. At that point, Sabena reversed her position and stated that no refund had ever been agreed to. Being told one thing directly by a hotel representative and then having that promise denied later is unacceptable. The inconsistency and lack of accountability have been deeply frustrating, and being implicitly treated as dishonest in the process only compounded the issue. Until this matter is resolved and the promised refund is honored, I am reluctant to stay at this property again and seriously question whether I can continue to trust the Hilton brand to stand behind its commitments.
